Bottom Bouncers |
A bottom bouncer is a
length of wire bent in an "L" shape that has a lead weight half way down the
vertical leg that lets you get your lure down to the very bottom. The
vertical wire allows it to skip over obstructions without snagging, and adds
the ability to self-adjust to water depth changes without changing your line
length every few minutes. The horizontal leg has a loop on one end to tie
your line to and a snap swivel on the other to connect your spinner or
harness to. As long as you keep tension on the line and the bottom
bouncer moving ahead, it doesn't snag. |
Quick Change Bottom Bouncers |
A quick change bottom bouncer is a single arm bottom bouncer
that attaches to a heavy duty quick change clevis on your fishing line. To
use a quick change bottom bouncer, feed you fishing line through the nose of the
quick change clevis and then tie on a snap swivel. Snap the desired weight
on to the quick change clevis and attach a crawler harness to the snap swivel
and you are ready to fish. The snap swivel will prevent the quick change
bottom bouncer from sliding down to your harness. There are many
advantages to using a quick change bottom bouncer. To vary the length of
your leader, slide the quick change bottom bouncer up the line from the snap
swivel to the desired leader length and put on a small split shot to stop the
quick change bottom bouncer from sliding down your line. This prevents you
from tying up various lengths of harnesses. Another advantage of the quick
change bottom bouncer is the ability to change weights easily. Simply
unclip the weight from the quick change clevis and clip on a lighter or heavier
weight. No need to remove your lure!! One of the best advantages of
the quick change bottom bouncer is the ability to give the fish more line with
out having the fish feel the weight of the bottom bouncer. The line will
slide through the quick change clevis leaving the weight where it is. This
will allow you to feel the fish more and have a direct line to the fish.
The length of the quick change bottom bouncer is approximately 11 inches. |
